I've been buying these shoes for several years now and wear them regularly when riding my motorcycle. I don't care for boots, so this shoe provides me some foot protection that is much better than I would get from a lighter weight shoe. The leather upper material isn't really the best I've seen, but if not abused it will last a reasonable amount of time. The thick bottom sole has good grip, which is important to me.Good looking below the ankle boot. Works well for everyday use. I have found these boots run 1-1.5 sizes large. I wear a size 10 in most other shoes, but have found a size 9 feels best in these. Price on these ranges from $50-70. Recommend waiting for a sale price if possible. Shipping was fast, two days. Overall, would recommend these boots to anyone.Comfy and modestly priced... durable and attractiveexcelente, totalmente satisfechoIt's hard for me to find shoes anymore. Size 14, kind of wide. 13EE can sometimes do the trick, but you just never know. Back when shoe stores were everywhere, I'd still get lucky to find a good pair I liked that fit comfortably. Most of those times, they usually ended up being Sketchers.Well, after years of not being able to find anything locally, and not feeling comfortable with buying shoes online, I finally decided to give it a try. A couple years ago I bought two pairs of Sketches Go-Walks shoes. Super light and comfortable. They have been great. I finally needed a good comfortable casual boot for work, and I'm too hard on shoes to get any type of "dress" shoe, and a black tennis shoe just ain't the right style. So I bought these simple, black boots. They are comfortable with both a thin dress sock or thick casual sock, though the rear ankle trim was a bit annoying until it got broken in over a couple of days.Happy with my purchase, and plan on buying a pair of brown casual boots in the same variety. Sketchers just make shoes that are comfortable for me.Husbands favorite shoes!!Item as described. Arrived safely and in timely manner.I wear them for work as a maintenance mechanic at local hospital. I walk a lot, and they hold up fairly well. The sole is the first part to wear out and unfortunately the rest of the shoe is in good shape but becomes uncomfortable to wear at that point due to the sole wearing out quicker. I like the shoe overall and will continue to wear them as long as they are available. I get about six months out of each pair. Not to bad as long as the price doesn’t rise to high.Buying shoes without first trying them on is not ideal, but in these lockdown times, what's the alternative? These shoes/boots seem well-made and sturdy. There's something old-fashioned about the fit; they're the right size, but I hope that in due course they'll become the right shape too. Unlike other reviews that I've read, mine are not generous in width. When out walking I can feel tension around the "crease" of the upper, around the base of my toes, with each step. I've walked maybe 10 miles in the past few days and it seems to be easing.Surprisingly, with one of the shoes I could actually feel the stitching of the Skechers label on the insole under my foot through my sock. After-market insoles cured that. And the very top back (I don't know the word for it) of the other shoe has started to rub on my achilles tendon. As I said above, all this reminds me of shoes and boots I had many years ago that needed "breaking-in". I must say that when that painful process had been endured some of them turned out to be very comfortable.I hope that that will be the case with these. If I remember I'll maybe report back here in a few weeks' time.Ten days later: Who was I kidding? Returned for a refund. Seller feedback to follow.I have a birth defect which makes buying shoes difficult, as until I have worn them in I cannot be certain that they will fit me comfortably. These shoes were comfortable from the first fitting, and each time I have worn them since. They are finished in what might be called old worn suede, the laces pass through sturdy eyes that don not look as if they'll tear or deform with use, the soles are non-slip and comfortably absorb normal walking impacts. They arrived in a quality presentation box, which disposed me to like them even before I'd unpacked, and they were well protected for delivery. Pressed card formers can be re-used to keep their shape between use. Excellent value for money. Recommended.Ordered dark brown but they certainly are not dark brown or anywhere close to dark brown, they are more a weird light brown and med brown two tone. They fit reasonably well for someone with wide feet, a little bit heavy but I like that. The colour is really disconcerting though... waaaay lighter than I would like... left feeling disappointed to be honest but at this price I can’t complain I guess, I mean at least they are real leather and not pleather like most of the shoes in this price rangeIf you want the normal sketchers comfort then these are not for you. They do not have the normal sketchers memory foam that is the normal sketchers insole, they are quite hard and unforgiving. I bought these having had a pair of sketchers workshoes which I loved, but the 'leather' finish came off and the soles became detached from the shoe, I was hoping that these would be as good, sadly they are not. They are not Sketchers as we know them, bewareLike a lot of people have previously expressed this shoe has a generous width fitting, I have a broad foot and most shoes are too tight even with a regular shoe width, but these are very comfortable, shoe length is accurate so no need to up the size for a good fit, just order your normal shoe size. They are a good sturdy shoe and very comfortable from the outset no blisters on the heel like some shoes. It’s early days to see how the sole wears, a few people say that the sole of the heel wears quickly, so we will see if that’s the case. Overall a great shoe for someone with a wide foot who struggles buying shoes online.
