My 14" x 6.5" Ludwig Black Beauty (measures 7 1/8" high with rims) with two spare heads (batter and reso in the top compartment) fit perfect.Everyone has bad things happen to them. BOOM, that's who I wanna do business with.Drummers are not "delicate" people, we hit things. This is a tough, strong, thick, heavily stitched product. The shoulder strap with pad is long enough to hang comfortably. Don't look past the soft fuzzy interior. I learned the expensive way on my old "name brand" hard-shell cases that foam breaks down after a few years (less if it's humid) and turns to a disgusting mess that sticks to your drums. I took a flying leap ordering this bag after throwing my old snare case in the garbage then cleaning my snare - again.
